Studies in the transport of glycolipids and acylated proteins within the cell
The cellular bases for intracellular distribution of glycolipids and acylated proteins are studied. Main objectives are the study of the exocytic and endocytic transport of ganglioside in polarized and non-polarized epithelial cells. In addition, we investigate the intracellular transport and subcellular distribution of the acylated protein Ras and GAP-43, as well as the functional role of these proteins in endosomal compartments.
